Christina Hughes, CLT

Owner/Medical Aesthetician

Christina attended Indiana University, Bloomington after graduating from Cathedral High School. Two kids later while being a stay-at-home mom, she noticed a big difference in her hair, skin, and nails. Christina wanted to not only fix her own imperfections but to help other women dealing with the same issues. To achieve this goal, she obtained her cosmetology license in 2014 from Honors Beauty College, and shortly afterward her aesthetics license from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture.

    After completing her schooling, she worked at a couple of different salons in Carmel and Zionsville where she did hair, facials, and waxing. To further her education Christina attended and completed training at the National Laser Institute, the #1 rated medical aesthetics training program in the country. There Christina became a Certified Laser Technician by learning laser hair removal, laser wrinkle reduction, photofacial skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal, body contouring, skin tightening, CoolSculpting, and microneedling. In addition, Christina completed coursework for Didactic Laser Theory and Laser Safety Officer Training.


    With almost a decade of experience in the beauty industry, Christina is an expert. Throughout these years she’s been trained on and specializes in several different treatments and laser modalities including acne therapy, collagen induction therapy, epidermabrasion, microdermabrasion, advanced facial treatments, radiofrequency, Sculpsure, RF w/ microneedling, laser resurfacing, IPL, chemical peels, high frequency, LED light therapy, laser hair reduction machines; the list goes on. Christina is well versed with several different medical skin grade lines. Prior to opening Laser Focus, Christina worked for several years at a reputable medical spa.


    Christina had a dream that one day she would build her own medical aesthetics spa from the ground up, and that’s exactly what she has done. She truly lives by her motto – that if you are passionate about what you do, success will follow. Christina’s easy-going personality, combined with her knowledge and professionalism compliments the cohesiveness of the Laser Focus team. Together they help clients achieve their ultimate goals by listening, educating, encouraging, exploring, and providing the most state-of-the-art equipment. Christina continues to stay up to date with the newest treatments and trends by attending industry seminars and participating in continuing education. She’s confident in the treatments she offers and is kind and humble saying, “It’s always been a joy to interact with my clients and spend quality time to build a trusting relationship. My clients always come first- they believe in me and that I will boost their outside appearance which will reflect on the inside.”


    When not working, Christina enjoys spending time with her two teenage sons and attending sporting events and concerts. She also enjoys taking vacations to visit her family in Sarasota, Florida. Christina’s parents are her mentors. By learning from their entrepreneurial success, she gained the knowledge and confidence to start her own business.

Dr. Eduardo G. Rivera is a dermatologist in Columbus, IN who is certified by the American Board of Dermatology in Medical Dermatology and Cutaneous Oncology (Mohs Surgery). He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
