  • What can I expect during the treatment?

    During treatment, you'll see a bright flash of light and feel a sensation on your skin that feels like a light snap from an elastic band.


    There will be redness and a slight warming of the skin after treatment; this usually subsides within an hour.


    Over the next 24-48 hours, you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; these pigmented lesions will soon flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone.


  • Is there any downtime with a Lumecca treatment

    Patients may experience redness in the treated area. This is completely normal and will subside.  While there is no downtime associated with this treatment, we will recommend an aftercare routine that will include the best SPF to use and of course, staying hydrated.

  • How soon will I see results?

    Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after 1-2 weeks. 


    Having multiple photofacial sessions will improve the final result. For vascular treatments such as facial telangiectasias, results can be seen in up to 2 weeks.

  • What does the aftercare routine look like?
